Train student to read a site through layers and translate site evidence into design decisions.

Create one Layered Site Analysis Map for a small building site.
- 01
Choose a simple real or imagined site for a small building, for example study pavilion, classroom extension, small community room, tiny library, bus-stop shelter or small café pavilion.

Draw a clean base map. Show site boundary, north arrow, road or path, main access direction, possible building zone and important existing elements.

Make separate small layer maps using the same base. Use at least access, sun, wind, noise, views and slope or water.

On the access layer, show where users arrive from and where an entrance could make sense.

On the sun layer, mark one useful light direction and one risky sun exposure.
- 06
On the wind and noise layers, mark where wind and noise affect the site.
- 07
On the views and water layers, mark one view corridor and one slope or runoff direction.

Make one synthesis map. Keep only the most important constraints and opportunities.

Write 3 site-based design decisions. Each decision must connect to evidence from the map.

Add one trade-off note.
