Train student to compare structural systems as architectural choices affecting span, openness and trade-off.

Create one Structural System Comparison Card for a simple small building.
- 01
Choose a simple building, for example study pavilion, tiny library, small classroom, community room, café pavilion or workshop room.
- 02
Write one project need sentence. Explain what the space needs, for example open hall, garden view, flexible layout or roof span.
- 03
Divide the page into four system options: bearing wall, frame, truss and shell.
- 04
For each system, draw one simplified plan, section or axonometric diagram.
- 05
Add load path arrows for each system.
- 06
Add one span note for each system. Show whether the span is short, medium or long.
- 07
Add one spatial effect note for each system. Explain how it affects openness, flexibility, view or room division.
- 08
Add one strength note and one trade-off note for each system.
- 09
Choose one final system or hybrid system.
- 10
Write one reason for the final choice, based on project need, not appearance.
