Create one Hazard + Vulnerability Map for a small building or site fragment.
- 01
Choose one small fragment, for example school study pavilion, courtyard shelter, bus stop shelter, classroom entrance, outdoor classroom, entrance canopy or low ground-floor room.
- 02
Draw the fragment as a simple plan, section or plan-section hybrid.
- 03
Show how the place works on a normal day. Mark entry, route, occupied zone and main use.
- 04
Choose one primary hazard, for example heavy rain, flood, extreme heat, strong wind, blocked route, infrastructure disruption or earthquake shaking.
- 05
Draw the hazard direction or hazard zone.
- 06
Mark who or what is exposed, for example users, entrance, route, seating, equipment or storage.
- 07
Circle one specific vulnerability. Do not write only “unsafe”. Name the weak condition, for example low threshold, no shade, single route or exposed roof edge.
- 08
Write one risk statement connecting hazard, exposure and vulnerability.
- 09
Add one upgrade strategy and one redundancy or recovery note.
- 10
Finish with one trade-off sentence.
